Services — Governance & Compliance Advisory

For teams that build their own models but need the governance done right.

Not every organization needs us to build. Many have strong data science teams and a governance gap. This practice exists for them.

Governance advisory is delivered by the same people who build production models — which matters more than it sounds. Frameworks written by people who have never shipped a model tend to be either toothless or unworkable. Ours are neither, because we have to live with the same rules when we build.

Model governance frameworks

A complete governance operating model for your AI portfolio: model inventory structure, risk tiering criteria, documentation standards, validation requirements by tier, and reporting cadences matched to your committee structure. We build frameworks your teams will actually follow — proportionate to risk, not maximal for its own sake.

AI risk assessments

Structured assessment of individual models or entire portfolios: where the regulatory exposure sits, which systems would fail an examination today, and a prioritized remediation plan with effort estimates. Useful before an audit, after an acquisition, or whenever leadership asks "are we actually okay?"

Validation readiness

Preparation for internal validation or external examination: gap analysis against what reviewers will expect, reconstruction of missing lineage and documentation, and coaching for the teams who will sit in front of validators. The goal is a review with no surprises.

Regulatory horizon mapping

AI-specific regulation is evolving quickly across jurisdictions. We map which emerging obligations — risk classification, transparency, human oversight, record-keeping — apply to your systems, and translate them into concrete engineering and process changes with realistic timelines.

Governance tooling selection

Vendor-neutral guidance on model registry, experiment tracking, and monitoring tooling. We have no reseller relationships and no stake in what you buy — our only interest is whether the tooling supports the evidence chain your governance framework requires.

How advisory engagements work

Advisory work is typically scoped in focused phases of a few weeks each: discovery and gap analysis first, then framework design or remediation planning, then implementation support at whatever depth you need — from periodic review to embedded, hands-on work with your teams. You always know what the next phase costs and what it produces before you commit to it.

A short discovery conversation is usually enough for us to tell you where the real gaps are — and whether you need us at all.
